CHLS and ExxonMobil Qatar Sign Two-Year Agreement

Dr. Mustapha Aouida, research scientist and laboratory manager at the College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS), has secured a two-year cooperative agreement with ExxonMobil Qatar to support a new study in the field of industrial wastewater treatment.

The agreement makes provision for funding of $160,000 to support the CHLS study titled “Improved microalgae strains with superior growth and greater efficiency for the treatment of industrial wastewater”. The project is an example of the multidisciplinary focus of CHLS’ research goals and the outcome is expected to make a major contribution to this field of activity.
