A new book chapter by Dr. Logan Cochrane, Associate Professor at the College of Public Policy, is one of the exceptional contributions to the new “Routledge Handbook of Public Policy in Africa”.
Dr. Cochrane is among a group of distinguished and upcoming Africanist scholars, practitioners, researchers, and policy experts - working inside and outside the continent - who analyze the historical and emerging policy issues in 21st century Africa in the book. His chapter, in Part IX: Understanding Food Security and Social Protection Policies, is titled “Public Policy and Social Protection in Africa: The Rise of Cash Transfers”, and co-authored by York University’s Dr. Nathanael Ojong.
The “Routledge Handbook of Public Policy in Africa” provides an authoritative and foundational disciplinary overview as it comprehensively examines the practicalities of policy analysis, policymaking processes, implementation, and administration in Africa today. It is set to be “a valuable resource for practitioners, politicians, researchers, university students, and academics interested in studying and understanding how African countries are governed.”
