Dr. Leslie Pal, founding dean of the College of Public Policy (CPP), and Dr. Logan Cochrane, associate professor (CPP), were the guests at a cultural gathering on June 21, at the invitation of Her Excellency Samia Zekaria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Qatar. The event welcomed Their Excellencies, ambassadors from Haiti, Rwanda, Morocco, Mexico, Algeria, and Turkey, as well as leaders of intergovernmental organizations and members of the business community. A cultural program highlighted the country’s diverse history, culture, cuisine, and investment potential.
HE the Ambassador and Dr. Pal explored an emerging partnership between CPP and the Institute of Policy and Development Research (IPDR), Hawassa University, Ethiopia. Dr. Cochrane was recently recognized for his outstanding contribution to the development of a graduate library for the Institute.
