‘Innovate.Create’ is a series of workshops designed for high school seniors, who have an interest in computer engineering.
Participants will have a chance to work in a group setting, learn how computer engineering affects their lives, and work on practical engineering projects and application developments, covering the topics of cybersecurity and robotics.
The program will cover the following activities:
- November 30, 2019
Robotics: Learning about the hardware components of a robot.
This workshop will cover the fundamental knowledge of robotics or embedded system design from hardware design, microcontroller control, and basic programming skills to algorithm optimization. Students will gain hands-on experience through designing and optimizing an embedded system and will be able to use the skills learned for future projects.
- January 25, 2020
Cybersecurity Encryption: Understanding security protocols.
Students will explore the field of computer security to understand how it started, the different protocols used, and how cybersecurity works.
- February 22, 2020
Mobile Development Workshop: Developing mobile applications.
Students will explore this field and gain an understanding of the foundations of programming, mobile application design, and mobile application development
Applications are open to students who are in their final two years of high school and have a good academic record.
Program fees: 150 QAR per workshop
