The College of Islamic Studies (CIS) was established as a hub for contemporary Islamic studies, promoting intellectual discourse on Islam within a global context. - Manage current websites including Digital Sirah, CILE, Maker Majlis, IBIR, and any other related future webpages, platforms, and websites.
- Develop a consistent and efficient strategy of reaching out to a maximum of users online by using all digital tools including website, social media, livestream, etc.
- Manage; edit and adapt content and implement CIS brand and HBKU brand guidelines.
- Oversee reaching out to a maximum of Internet users by spreading CIS’ vision through its website and social media in English and Arabic.
- Manage the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across various online platforms, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, and SEO/SEM.
- Analyze digital marketing performance metrics, track KPIs, and use data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and initiatives.
- Manage the budget for digital outreach efforts and allocate resources effectively to maximize outcomes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging digital marketing technologies, recommending, and implementing innovative strategies as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other departments within CIS for content creation and design and HBKU IT to ensure seamless execution of digital initiatives.
- Monitor and manage online reputation, responding to customer feedback and comments in a professional and timely manner.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, influencers, and industry contacts to enhance our digital presence.
- Advise CIS senior Management on the most effective digital outreach strategies based on his /her updated knowledge of the market and social media industry.
- Help with the development and management of any future webpage within CIS.
- Monitor and review the weekly, monthly, and yearly outcomes of the digital outreach strategies implemented and provide updated reports.
- Adhere to the university's communications-related strategies.
- Other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
HBKU’s College of Islamic Studies seeks applications for the position of Senior Digital Outreach Specialist. The applicant will be responsible for developing, planning, and executing the strategic digital outreach for the Digital Sirah project and other CIS websites and web pages in both Arabic and English languages, utilizing modern means including website and social media for effective audience outreach.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Master’s preferred.
- 6-8 years of relevant full-time work experience.
- Experience in Content Management System (CMS) Drupal, communication codes of social media.
- Good understanding of various marketing strategies plans and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to logically and persuasively outline and present ideas, and specifications through oral communication and writing.
- Web marketing, eBusiness, Community Management on social media, and tech skills that fit with all the required software & hardware tasks.
- Awareness of project management principles.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
