Interested to learn about the changing role of women in the workplace?

Join us to share empowering and inspiring perspectives with recognized leaders in the area of labor law and the workplace.

The event will begin with a panel discussion on how the evolution of international standards and best practices is affecting local legislation in the context of women in the workplace.

The panel discussion will be followed by an open discussion forum during which female professionals and entrepreneurs will share their experiences, the challenges and obstacles they face along the path to success, and strategies to overcome them.

Dr. Susan L. Karamanian, Dean of the College of Law, will give the opening remarks, which will be followed by a panel discussion with:

  • Luigia Ingianni, Commissioner, Qatar Financial Centre Employment Standards Office
  • Mr. Houtan Homayounpour, Head of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Project Office in Qatar
  • Donatella Cungi, Partner, Toffoletto De Luca Tamajo; and Member of the International Bar Association Diversity and Equality Committee
  • Mr. Mohamed Mahgoub, Lead Researcher, Doha International Family Institute 
  • Dr. Asmaa Alfadala, Director, Research and Content Development, World Innovation Summit for Education 

 The event will be held in English, with simultaneous Arabic interpreting.
