Lecture: QS and THE World University Rankings: How are They Done? What can the University Do?
 

 

We will be looking into the methodologies of QS and THE World University Rankings, on the global and regional levels.
From there, we will be identifying the different key indicators that can be supported by Elsevier’s solutions
to provide a positive impact for the university’s rankings.

Saide Sak has an educational background in the social sciences and a Master’s degree in International Economic Relations.
After working  across diverse business fields in different roles for more than three years, her professional career path has been continuing in Scientific Information and Research Solutions with eight years of experience.

Since joiningElsevier as a Customer Consultant in the EMEA team in mid-2017, she has provided 250+ training sessions and workshops to researchers and information professionals, helping to increase their performance.

She is currently based in Turkey but spends most of her time traveling to different cities and countries.

Shadi Awwad has an educational background in chemistry and health policy & research from the University of Minnesota.
Shadi previously worked in the Executive Offices of His Majesty the King of Jordan. His achievements in this role included
developing national policies across the economic and social domains, as well as supporting with organizational
development projects. Shadi has also worked in business development and as a consultant advisor within the private sector. 

Having joined Elsevier in 2014, Shadi is a senior expert managing Elsevier’s Research Intelligence
portfolio in the Middle East, Turkey, Central Asia, Romania and Bulgaria.
Based in Amman, Jordan, he has a diverse heritage and cultural background, calling both Jordan and the USA his home.

Andrey Khudoshin

Andrey Khudoshin, Elsevier Business Development Manager - Life Science Solutions

 

 

Andrey Khudoshin has a PhD in chemistry and nine years of experience in the field of reactions of natural polymers.
His fields of scientific interests include innovative drug R&D; big data analysis for chemistry, biology and medicine; behavioural and neurobiological science. 

Since 2015, Andrey has been utilizing his chemistry and biology background at Elsevier.
Andrey leads the collaboration with scientific centers in the fields of chemistry, medicinal chemistry, personalised and evidence-based medicine, system biology,
and drug R&D to enhance research performance and strategies through the  implementation of a data-driven approach.
