This lecture will investigate the molecular mechanisms of cancer and metastasis, using mice as a model, with a focus on the role of antioxidants in cancer progression.
Contrary to popular belief, oxidative stress responses interact with metabolic adaptations to support the progression of tumors. In this lecture, Dr. Bergo will report on accelerated lung cancer progression in the presence of antioxidants and how the findings can be used to develop new anti-cancer therapies.
