The Past, Present, and Future of Policy Design

25Nov2019

Join us for a discussion on the conceptualizations of policy design processes, beginning with early work in the field.

This talk will highlight the present state of design thinking and the future opportunities and challenges for designing more effective and humane public policies.

All public policies reflect a process of designing. That design may have been subtle but it is still present. Students and practitioners of public policy are concerned with making policy design a more conscious activity, and strive to  understand how they can improve those designs that will affect the lives of citizens.

Speaker:

B. Guy Peters,
Founding President of the International Public Policy Association

B. Guy Peters is Maurice Falk Professor of Government at the University of Pittsburgh, and founding President of the International Public Policy Association.
