Muslim Scholarship in the Humanities across the Indian Subcontinent

Qatar Foundation - in line with the nation-wide ‘Years of Culture’ initiative - is celebrating 2019 as the year to strengthen relations between the State of Qatar and India and build bridges that foster an understanding of the vibrant complexities of both the nations and their people. 

As part of this initiative, the Muhammad Bin Hamad Al Thani Center for Muslim Contributions to Civilization (CMCC) at HBKU is hosting a two-day conference entitled ’Muslim Scholarship in Humanities across the Indian Subcontinent’ on September 17-18, 2019. The conference aims to highlight Muslim contributions to what is today termed the “human sciences”. 

Discussions and presentations will cover the following disciplines:

  • History
  • Language and Literature
  • Logic and Philosophy
  • Religion
  • Education
  • Art and Music
