The deaths and injuries, property destruction, and displacement of innocents raise international legal and international relations issues as to the current Israeli-Palestine conflict. This forum will bring context to the matter with an initial presentation that focuses on recent developments in Gaza, and will then examine:
- The legal status of Palestine and issues relating to the legality of the use of force, particularly acts against civilians and hospitals, commercial, and living facilities as well as a refugee camp.
- The international relations and political dimensions with reference to US foreign policy, the position of regional states that signed the Abraham Accords, and the dynamics in Israeli politics.
- Human rights violations.
- Accountability for the acts under international criminal law.
