Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and its National Development Strategies (NDS 1 and NDS 2) guide the country’s economic, social, cultural, and sustainable development policies. 

In this lecture, H.E. Dr. Saleh, President of the Planning and Statistics Authority, will address the challenges and prospects of the NDS, design and implementation issues, and Qatar’s development journey.

The lecture will be held at the Auditorium, Minaretein (College of Islamic Studies building), on October 28, from 2pm to 4pm.

H.E. Dr. Saleh bin Mohammad Al Nabit
H.E. Dr. Saleh served as Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Development Planning (GSDP) from 2011 to June 2013. After restructuring of the ministries in 2013, H.E. was the Minister of Development Planning and Statistics from June 2013 to November 2018. In November 2018, Dr. Saleh was appointed President of the Planning and Statistics Authority. Besides his ministerial roles, H.E. serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for a number  of higher education institutions in Qatar.
