Launching in the College of Islamic Studies Auditorium, “Policy Making in a Transformative State: The Case of Qatar” is the first academic study that brings together a collection of chapters that explain policy making dynamics in Qatar. Its uniqueness also stem from the composition of contributing authors, as various Qatari scholars provided “from within” perspectives as well as leading non-Qatari scholars.

The event will take place in start with introductory remarks by the Editors, M. Evren Tok, Lolwah Alkhater and Leslie A. Pal. followed by two panel discussions with the contributors of the different chapters. The panel discussions will cover a variety of policy areas spanning education, health, social, economic and foreign policies.

A reception, during which a light dinner will be served, will be held by the end of the event and copies of the book will be available to purchase on site.
