The US National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) and the Arab-American Frontiers program, in partnership with Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, are hosting a webinar featuring three globally-renowned speakers from the US and Qatar with expertise in how we have responded so far and what will be needed next in reaction to potential waves of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide.
This session will provide perspectives from the US and Qatar on how to best respond to changes in global travel restrictions, manage opening and closing of workplaces, and plan for the equitable and rapid deployment of vaccines as they become available. The speakers will also discuss how our societies and research communities can be best prepared to face future pandemics.
