The Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is organizing a seminar to mark the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in women. It is important to spread knowledge about the impact of breast cancer and raise awareness on the importance of learning about breast cancer, its signs and symptoms, preventative measures and precautionary measures such as routine breast-self examination and mammography.

This online seminar will shed light on the research conducted at QBRI and expand on the services tackling the disease at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). The event will also feature breast cancer survivor, Ms. Sandee Thompson. She will provide a personal perspective to this discussion.
