The logo competition is a part of Middle East & North Africa Three Minute Thesis Competition (MENA 3MT) 2023, co-organized by Qatar University and Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
Eligibility
- Contestants must be Education City students.
- Contestants may enter the competition as individuals or as teams.
Design Guidelines
- Logo design should be using the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) word.
- Avoid using Black and White solid colors.
- Avoid using gradients and half-tones.
- Designs must be submitted in a vector format.
Intellectual Property
- Contestants affirm their submissions are their own original work, have not been copied from others or from previous designs, including their own, and do not violate the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity.
- Submissions become the sole property of HBKU and may be used for any purpose, including, but not limited to, display on websites, business cards, letterhead, posters, and other materials.
- HBKU shall have the right to adapt, edit, modify, or otherwise use the winning submission in part or in its entirety in whatever manner it deems appropriate.
- HBKU reserves the right to choose not to use the winning entry as described in these competition guidelines.
- HBKU reserves the right to use any other entry for promotional purpose(s) in the future.
- If the winner is discovered to have violated any rules, he/she will be required to forfeit or return the prize, even if the occurred violation is discovered after the prize has been awarded.
- Rules violation will result in disqualification. The organizing team also reserves the right to disqualify any entry at its sole discretion.
Submission Details
- Contestants may submit their entries between April 9 and April 13, 2023.
- Multiple options per individual or team are acceptable. Each option must be submitted separately.
- The winning entry will be announced on April 18, 2023.
Determining the Winner and Prize
- Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of board members consisting of HBKU Student Affairs (SA).
- Submissions will be judged based on their visual appeal, adherence to the concept prompting the academic competition, and design quality.
Award
The winner will receive a prize of QR 3000
