In light of the recently issued Law No. 22 regarding Persons with Disabilities in Qatar, this interactive workshop highlights the importance of inclusive architectural design in fostering equity and inclusion for individuals with disabilities. Organized by the College of Public Policy (CPP), the College of Islamic Studies (CIS), and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS), it brings together practitioners and graduate students from the fields of architecture, social sciences, and public policy.

The workshop draws from local case studies and collaborative, hands-on activities to explore environmental, attitudinal, and policy barriers to inclusion. Participants will gain interdisciplinary insights and learn how to develop solutions that prioritize accessibility, equity, and people-centered design in creating urban and built environments that are inclusive for persons with disabilities.

Spots are limited, and certificates will be provided to participants who attend the full-day event. Confirmed participants will receive an email with further details. For more information, contact Sabika Shaban at sshaban@hbku.edu.qa.

This event will be held in English.
