Every Sunday starting January 28 to February 25, 2024

Join us in a distinctive program that provides an opportunity for university students to deepen their religious connection to the Qur’an through the tafsir and memorization of Surah Al-Isra.

Jointly organized by the Minaretein Center and Maker Majlis, the program seeks to strengthen the relationship between the hearts of young people and the Qur’an, focusing on a detailed study of Surah Al-Isra and fostering a deeper understanding of the journey of Isra and Mi’raj. In the contemporary reality that the Islamic world is going through, especially in light of the aggression against Palestine, the choice of Surah Al-Isra lies within the framework of directing a Qur’anic vision of current events. This six-part lecture series aims to build a deep spiritual connection between youth and Al-Aqsa Mosque—a revered site of pilgrimage for Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)—and the sacred land of Palestine.

By the end of the series, participants will gain insights into the Islamic values and principles that build the Islamic identity as well as invite unity and solidarity within our ummah and with the wider society.

The program will culminate with a competition for interested university students from Qatar Foundation on the memorization as well as the interpretation of Surah Al-Isra. The competition serves to encourage students to memorize the Holy Qur’an, consistent with the command stated in the Qur'an: “And in that, let the competitors compete” (Al-Muttaffin 26). The Prophet (PBUH) also stated: “The best of you are those who learn and teach the Qur’an” (Al-Bukhari).
