The majority of the residents in the besieged Gaza strip are refugees from the 1948 Nakba. After 75 years of settling there, more than half of the population find themselves displaced within Gaza since the war was declared by the Israeli Occupation on October 7, 2023, as they confront the imminent risk of a new catastrophe.

This panel aims to provide first-hand insight and analysis from invited academics and students. It will explore historical contexts and media biases during and beyond the current events.
