Taghreed Al-Gunaid is a PhD candidate in Sustainable Environment at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and a Research Associate in the Materials Unit at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI). She holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Materials Science and Nanotechnology from Qatar University, where she graduated with honors and received the Best Thesis Award for 2021–2022. Her PhD research focuses on designing, developing, and characterizing ultra-thin polymer-composite paints for passive radiative cooling, tailored for harsh desert environments.
