السيرة الذاتية
Dr. Shamjad P. Moosakutty is a Scientist at the Environment and Sustainability Center at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI). His primary research is on the field measurement of air pollution and understanding its health and climate impacts.
He received his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. During his first postdoctoral fellowship at Aarhus University, Denmark, he studied the lab-generated aerosols from gas-to-particle conversion in an enclosed chamber. His second postdoc at KAUST, Saudi Arabia, was focused on low-carbon fuel combustion and characterization.
At QEERI, Shamjad is working to understand the overall air quality in the greater Doha area by measuring its properties continuously. He operates air quality monitoring instruments and develops software tools for data analysis and interpretation.
