Mr. Mark Chaban

Mr. Mark Chaban is the Corporate Vice President of Cloud Commercial Solutions (CCS) at Microsoft EMEA and a member of the regional leadership team, responsible for accelerating the growth of Microsoft's cloud solutions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Mark's journey with Microsoft spans nearly 22 years, during which he has held key executive roles across the US, MEA, CEMA and most recently, EMEA.

Throughout every chapter of his career, Mr. Mark has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to building a people-first culture, championing integrity, growth and tech intensity. He is deeply invested in nurturing tech talent at all levels, from senior leaders to early-in-career professionals, and is recognized for fostering environments of trust, compliance and inclusion where everyone is empowered to excel.

A transformational leader and customer success innovator, Mr. Mark has driven breakthrough projects across the world, including the establishment of multiple Azure Regions. His vision and authentic leadership have been instrumental in driving double-digit growth for Microsoft's Cloud Solutions team and accelerating the Sovereign Cloud strategy, partnering closely with Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA), Engineering and regulatory bodies.

Mr. Mark's leadership in Al is widely recognized. Since 2017, he has served as Microsoft's Responsible AI Champion, shaping the company's ethical AI framework and ensuring its adoption across multiple markets. His commitment to ethical AI and customer-centricity is reflected in his leadership of the Office of Responsible AI (ORA), the AETHER Committee, and the Responsible AI Strategy in Engineering (RAISE).

As a keynote speaker at major industry events, Mr. Mark has showcased Microsoft's latest innovations, including the public debut of quantum computing. With over 25 years of industry experience and roles at General Motors and IBM.

Mr. Mark is a graduate of the University of Michigan, holding a Master's in Software Engineering and a Bachelor's in Computer Science. He is an avid technology evangelist, passionate about inspiring the next generation of tech talent and championing diversity and inclusion in all its forms.
