This lecture will discuss the exciting life and career of the Mamluk Sultan al-Mu’ayyad Shaykh, who ruled over Egypt and Bilad al-Sham, in the early 15th century. He had an active role during the reigns of his predecessors before eventually taking over the throne.
Sultan al-Mu’ayyad Shaykh built a magnificent religious and funerary complex behind Bab Zuwayla, the south gate of Cairo. The lecture will discuss its architecture, decoration, and the unique inscriptions of its qibla wall.
This symposium aims to highlight the legislative and judicial efforts exerted by Qatar, and its distinguished position in managing workers' issues, by addressing two themes. The first is clarifying the role of legislation and judicial applications in reducing discrimination between different categories of workers such as women, people with disabilities, and others. The second theme relates to public policies, legislation and their role in preserving the system of moral values in society.
For centuries, Muslims had memorized, argued, and interacted with different philosophical and religious traditions through the means of parchment, papyrus, and paper. It was not until the second half of the nineteenth century that classical Islamic works entered a new stage: print production.
The first session of the three-part webinar series on financing the SDGs via the Islamic social finance model will focus on the potential of Zakat financing modality to fill the SDGs’ funding gap.
The session will showcase how BAZNAS (National Zakat Board Indonesia) innovatively applies Zakat funds towards supporting local SDG projects in underserved communities.
It will also highlight how the BAZNAS Zakat model for development can be replicated and utilized in other regions worldwide.

Applicants can submit their photography, painting, short film, poem, song, or anything else they have in mind. The creative piece they submit has to answer the following question:

- Studying the intellectual, cultural and social impacts of this crisis on individuals, the community, Islamic nations, and humanity as a whole.
- Suggesting solutions for addressing such impacts in light of Shari’a objectives.
