The Environment Center aims to advance and inform national understanding of the interaction between the natural and built environments and provide sustainable solutions to enhance resilience and well-being in Qatar and arid regions.
Through a combination of basic and applied research, the center creates region-specific knowledge to characterize atmospheric interactions between the natural and built environments in a changing climate, quantify the impacts of the natural environment and anthropogenic emissions on human health and the built environment, provide research-based evidence to support national mitigation and adaptation policies and measures and develop sustainable human-centered solutions to enable a healthy and resilient environment for all.
