Pioneered by Qatar Foundation (QF) in 2008 to bridge a gap in Qatar’s research and development capacity, it remains the country’s sole program to encompass, and contribute to, the entirety of Qatar’s innovation value chain: a chain along which basic scientific research can be progressed to applied and translational research, and subsequently to products, processes, and outcomes that will create benefit for Qatar.
