Overview
The Genomics Core and Genome Technology laboratory is equipped with various state-of-the-art, high-throughput technological platforms for nucleic acids sequencing using next-generation sequencing (NGS) as well as capillary sequencing methods and various array platforms. Our applications include sequencing of different nucleic acid templates, high-throughput genotyping, epigenome analysis, gene expression analysis, single-cell technologies, NanoString technology and digital PCR methods. Contact our facility for details on the types of services available, sample requirements, workflows, prices, and lead times. The Genomics Core and Genome Technology laboratory services include:
Our facility provides a complete NGS solution from sample processing to sequencing data generation and secondary analysis.
Our core facility is equipped with a single-cell analysis platform called the 10x Genomics Chromium iX system. This system is based on microfluidic technology that can generate hundreds of thousands of single-cell partitions for the following applications
Our facility is equipped with an iScan system, an Illumina Infinium Microarray Technology also known as BeadArray technology. This system supports a wide range of applications, including targeted genome and exome genotyping, gene expression analysis, methylation analysis which are offered in a variety of standard and customized microarray kit formats.
Our facility is equipped with NanoString's nCounter analysis system. The technology behind this system is a highly multiplexed assay that can count large sets of RNA or DNA molecules (up to 800 targets in a single reaction).
Our facility is equipped with two types of Genetic Analyzers: ABI 3730XL 96 capillaries and ABI 3500xL DX 24 capillaries.
STR (Short Tandem Repeat Profiling) is a DNA profiling method. In our facilities, this service is mainly used for cell line authentication, which is very important to monitor cell lines in the event of cross-contamination or misidentification. This service can be used for other applications such as verifying tissue sample origins.
The service involves sequencing the variable region of the light and heavy chains of monoclonal antibody.
