Abdullah Al-Nameh has an impressive track record in the humanitarian field, particularly during his tenure as the leader of Qatar Charity, the largest relief agency in Qatar. From 2002 to 2011, he oversaw numerous successful humanitarian aid campaigns in various international regions. Under his guidance, Qatar Charity saw a significant increase in funding, with eight times more funding obtained, resulting in a tenfold increase in capital. This growth led Qatar Charity to become a globally recognized charitable organization.

One of Mr. Al-Nameh’s notable achievements was securing increased funding from the government of Qatar for Qatar Charity. He also established strategic partnerships with international relief agencies, including UN agencies, USAID, the Red Crescent, and others. By unifying and aligning Qatar Charity with international standards, he enhanced transparency, governance, and procedural standards within the organization. Moreover, he played a crucial role in improving fundraising, project evaluation, and fund management practices.

Not only did Mr. Al-Nameh excel in the humanitarian sector, but he also actively participated in promoting and protecting human rights. He served as a member of the board of directors of the National Human Rights Committee in Qatar, as well as the management of the National Committee to combat human trafficking for three years. Furthermore, he provided training on human rights issues to relevant organizations.

Recognizing the importance of conflict management, Mr. Al-Nameh attended a training camp in Conflict Management in the UK. He subsequently transferred these acquired skills to a leadership team in Somalia, contributing to the enhancement of worker efficiency in this field. Additionally, he represented the state of Qatar on the Gaza Reconstruction Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council, effectively managing a capital of 1.5 billion dollars for development projects in Gaza.

Following his successful tenure with Qatar Charity, Mr. Al-Nameh continued to make impactful contributions to the humanitarian sector. He worked as an expert and consultant, assisting in the establishment of several humanitarian and non-profit agencies in Qatar. Notably, he contributed to the expansion of Afif Charity Association's activities worldwide. Additionally, he founded Estidama, the first Qatari microfinance institution focusing on sustainable social development.

Mr. Al-Nameh also possesses a deep interest in endowments and played a key role in establishing the endowment education project of Qatar University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to his leadership in Qatar Charity, he held a senior position in a prominent steel production company in Qatar for twenty years, from 1982 to 2002.

Educationally, Mr. Al-Nameh holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a master's degree in Automation Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Islamic Banking and Finance, all earned from reputable institutions, committed to lifelong learning.

Beyond his qualifications and experience, Mr. Abdullah Al-Nameh is an accomplished author, visionary, strategic thinker, trainer, and interdisciplinary researcher. His research interests revolve around exploring innovative methodologies to address governance problems and enhance board efficiency.
