Hamad Bin Khalifa University is hosting the ceremonial launch of the UNESCO Chair on Digital Technologies and Human Behaviour. This launch will also include a panel discussion on digital well‑being in the age of AI.

The panel will examine how rapid advances in AI, particularly generative AI, may both enhance our well‑being and increase forms of dependency, including problematic and addictive use. Panelists will discuss practical pathways toward more rational human‑AI collaboration, better education, and mindful engagement with AI products. They will also examine how to foster "digital immunity" to help mitigate unhealthy online behaviors, particularly among teenagers and young adults.

The event will be held in English.
