Overview
The College of Public Policy’s Policy Leadership Series brings together the public, students, and members of the Hamad Bin Khalifa University Community with senior practitioners and decision-makers shaping public policy and institutional development in Qatar.
Led by Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Fehani, Assistant Secretary-General for Council Affairs at Qatar’s National Planning Council, the lecture will discuss how Qatar’s national vision is translated into policy implementation and measurable societal impact.
The discussion will place particular emphasis on the Third National Development Strategy (NDS-3) as well as the opportunities and challenges involved in turning national priorities into tangible outcomes. The interactive session will explore how national priorities are established, how implementation challenges are addressed across institutions, and the skills policymakers need in an increasingly complex environment shaped by data, technology and rapid change.
Objective
The session aims to provide participants with a practitioner-level understanding of the relationship between national vision, strategic planning, institutional capacity, implementation and public impact, while offering insight into leadership and decision-making within Qatar’s public sector.
