Methodology

The workshop combines guided demonstrations, practical exercises, and short translation projects. Participants will work with sample files to configure the software, explore its key features, and address common translation challenges.

  • Create and maintain Translation Memories
  • Translate Microsoft Office files using Trados Studio 2024
  • Use segment matching, customized settings, and file alignment
  • Create and use AutoSuggest dictionaries and apply fuzzy match repair

About the Workshop Leader

Wahba Youssef holds a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Birmingham, a BA in International Business and Management from Bournemouth University, and a BA from the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University. He also holds a diploma in Information Systems Analysis and Design, and certifications in Trados Studio, Trados MultiTerm Desktop, and MemoQ Level PM.

Current Role

Wahba is currently a Senior Translation Specialist at the Translation and Training Center, where he leads translation technology activities, promotes the use of CAT and project management tools, and supports the development of terminology databases for specialized translation. Drawing on his extensive experience in translation technology, Wahba brings practical insights into the effective use of advanced translation tools and workflows.
