Biography
Mah Nashit Uzma is an S.J.D. Candidate at the College of Law, Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Her doctoral research examines the use of artificial intelligence in armed conflicts, with a particular focus on autonomous weapon systems, state responsibility, and accountability. Her broader research interests encompass public international law, including international humanitarian law, international criminal law, human rights law, women's rights, and socio-legal studies. Her academic work has been published in both international and national legal journals.
Previously, she completed a Master of Laws from The University of Hong Kong, for which she was awarded the prestigious Wong Family Scholarship. Prior to this, she completed her five-year integrated Bachelor of Arts and Law degree as a Summa Cum Laude graduate (Gold Medallist) from Central University of Kashmir. She is a licensed attorney in her home country and has briefly served in legal academia before joining HBKU.
