Open Rank Faculty Position in Intercultural Communication

• Conduct assigned courses or seminars to contribute to student learning. 
• Teach and develop graduate courses in intercultural communication, particularly in business, management, organizations, consulting, entrepreneurship, strategic communication, and professional development.
• Supervise independent study activities to guide students in achieving their academic and professional goal. 
• Serve as academic advisor to students to guide them in the course and their selection. 
• Serve on and chair university and College committees. 
• Render service to the professional or lay community relevant to academic specialty. 
• Direct research programs of undergraduate/graduate students and advise on research matters. 
• Conduct research in the field of specialization and publish findings in scholarly journals or books. 
• May serve on faculty committees dealing with such matters as curriculum planning and degree requirements and perform a variety of administrative duties. 
• Participate in curriculum development activities including the development of curricular materials and special instructional methods to further improve the university/college teaching material. 
• Strengthen the program’s engagement with industry and professional communities by developing partnerships with businesses and organizations, contributing to executive and professional education, facilitating experiential learning and internship opportunities, and supporting initiatives in entrepreneurship, leadership, consulting, and professional development.
• Conduct research or undertake comparable scholarly activity to contribute to HBKU becoming a leading research university. 
• Supervise research projects and thesis to ensure the success of research projects and students. 
• Seek funding support for research to help make HBKU a world-class research university. 
• Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Dean or the University.

• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Intercultural Communication, Communication, Management, Organizational Studies, International Business, or a closely related field, with an established expertise in intercultural communication.
• Demonstrated university-level teaching experience in areas related to business, management, organizations, consulting, entrepreneurship, leadership, or strategic communication.
• Demonstrate an established record of high-quality research and peer-reviewed publications appropriate to rank.
• Demonstrate relevant professional, industry, consulting, business, or organizational experience that complements their academic profile.
• Demonstrate the ability to integrate academic scholarship with applied and professional practice and to prepare students for careers across private, public, and non-governmental organizations.
• Demonstrate experience or strong potential in graduate student supervision, curriculum development, research collaboration, and external research funding.
• Demonstrate the capacity to establish productive relationships with industry, businesses, professional organizations, and other external partners.
• A rich background that combines academic expertise with experience in industry, business, management, consulting, or organizational practice alongside a good understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), its applications, and its implications for contemporary organizations and professional practice.
• Demonstrate a strong and developing scholarly profile appropriate to the rank of appointment, together with a rich combination of teaching, research, professional, and industry experience.
• Bilingual proficiency is essential. Candidates should be fluent in English and at least one additional language.
• Have experience working in culturally diverse and international environments.
