QSchool 2025 | Hamad Bin Khalifa University
College of Science and Engineering

The Qatar Center for Quantum Computing (QC2), in collaboration with Qatar Foundation’s summer camp program, "Mukhayamna 2025," is launching the second edition of its Quantum Computing Summer School in 2025.

QSchool offers an enriched curriculum that blends theoretical exploration with practical application. Students will explore the fundamentals of quantum computing through interactive lectures and participate in hands-on lab sessions using both simulated and real quantum platforms.

This week-long program welcomes high-school students from schools across Qatar, with the goal of cultivating the next generation of quantum innovators in Qatar.

Program Schedule

  • Day 1: Introduction to Quantum Computing and Quantum Mechanics
Explore the basics of quantum mechanics and its role in quantum computing, focusing on key concepts like superposition, entanglement, and wave-particle duality.
  • Day 2: Quantum Circuit
Learn how quantum computers process information using quantum gates and circuits, and how quantum bits (qubits) interact within circuits, and experiment with basic quantum computing operations using interactive simulations.
  • Day 3: Quantum Algorithms
Explore the power of quantum algorithms and their potential to solve complex problems faster than classical computers.
  • Day 4: Quantum Teleportation
Experience quantum teleportation! Discover how quantum information travels instantly through a phenomenon called ‘entanglement’ and simulate exciting teleportation protocols.
  • Day 5: Quantum Cryptography
Learn about quantum key distribution (QKD), a concept that uses the principles of quantum physics to create super-secure communication.
