The College of Public Policy is pleased to present a public lecture examining the role of volunteerism and civic engagement in strengthening public policy outcomes. Effective policy is seldom delivered by government alone; the delivery of many essential services depends on the contributions of volunteers, nonprofit organizations, and community institutions.
The lecture will explore how governments collaborate with civil society and community actors to deliver services, build public trust, and address complex challenges that require collective action. It will also consider the conditions that enable such partnerships to succeed and the role of government in sustaining meaningful civic participation.
The College welcomes public officials, nonprofit practitioners, students, and members of the community interested in public management, nonprofit partnerships, and community-based governance.
The event will be held in English.
