At a time when decolonization remains unfinished, new forms of colonial ambition are emerging through the promises of technological innovation, efficiency, and progress. This workshop examines the renewed appeal of colonial modes of power in the age of AI technocracy, from data extraction and algorithmic governance to the growing authority of technical expertise over political decision-making. How do these developments revive older colonial practices of classifying, managing, and controlling populations and territories? How can decolonial thought help us challenge these emerging configurations of power and imagine alternative futures?

The event will be held in English.
