The Vice-President for Research at Qatar University extends a cordial invitation to attend the Qatar University - Qatar Biomedical Research Institute Research Symposium at the Auditorium of the New Research Complex, Qatar University, from 10 am on the 9th September, 2014.
Intel, in collaboration with Qatar Foundation and the Supreme Eductaion Council, will be hosting the awards ceremony for the 2014 Intel Science Competition - Arab World (ISC AW) on the 11th November 2014 at the Qatar National Convention Center.
The ISC AW is an annual Pan Arab Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) competition for students in grades 9 to 12.
The Anti-Doping Lab Qatar will be hosting it's second annual Junior Symposium on the 27th October 2014 at The Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital.
يُعد اسم الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم واسع الاستخدام في النقوش المعمارية في المجتمعات الإسلامية. وتضم هذه النقوش بعضاً من أروع إنجازات فنون الخط والتصميم العربية، وذلك في سياقات متعددة.
وسوف تطرح المحاضرة، من خلال استخدام نماذج لنقوش من القرن 11 حتى القرن 16، السؤال عن سبب شعبية هذه الأشكال خلال هذه الفترة، خاصة النقوش المتماثلة التي تتخذ شكل النجمة.
كما سوف تستكشف هذه المحاضرة الصلة، إن وُجدت، ما بين "سداسية سليمان" و"الورود متعددة الدوائر" من جهة، والنجوم الخماسية والسداسية المستخدمة في اسم سليمان وختمه من جهة أخرى.
