Dr. Marwa Qaraqe, associate professor at HBKU and co-founder of A-Sense Center, delivered a featured presentation at the Pediatric Neuroscience Conference held at Sidra Medicine from 6 to 8 November 2025. In her talk, “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Autism Research in Qatar: Advancements, Challenges, and Future Directions,” she discussed autism prevalence on a global scale, current limitations and challenges in diagnosis and support, and the growing role of technology in addressing these gaps. Dr. Qaraqe also highlighted innovative solutions and showcased several ongoing A-Sense Center projects that apply AI and sensing technologies to better understand and support children with autism. Her presentation was part of Session VII, dedicated to artificial intelligence and cutting-edge research in neuroscience.
