The A-Sense Center participated in Web Summit 2026, highlighting its ongoing work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, autism research, and personalized innovation.
QRDI Project: ARG01-0508-230097, Attention-AI: AI-Enabled Sensing for Joint Attention Detection in Children with Autism, was presented at the Web Summit 2026. Led by Principal Investigator Dr. Marwa Qaraqe and developed in collaboration with Renad Academy and Seattle Children’s Research Institute, the project demonstrates how AI-enabled sensing and machine learning can support the objective detection of joint attention behaviors, complementing traditional observational assessment methods.
During the summit, Dr. Dena Al Thani delivered a talk titled “From Behavior to Insight: Reimagining Autism Support through Personalized Innovation.” The talk explored how data-driven, human-centered approaches can transform autism support by moving beyond observable behaviors to actionable insights, with an emphasis on personalization, ethical design, and real-world impact.
