Dr. Dena Al-Thani participated in the 2nd Science Café Session hosted by Msheireb Museums, and Sidra Champion neurodiversity

Dr. Dena A. Al-Thani, Associate Professor at the College of Science and Engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University and co-founder of A-Sense center, participated as a panel speaker in the second session of the 2026 Science Cafe series, hosted by Msheireb Museums and Sidra Medicine under the theme “Different Abilities, Shared Futures: Disability and Success.” The event brought together experts from research, healthcare, education, and disability services to discuss neurodevelopmental conditions, inclusive environments, family and community support, and pathways that enable children and adolescents with different abilities to thrive. The discussion also highlighted the role of science, assistive technologies, and evidence-based approaches in improving accessibility, learning, communication, and long-term achievement, while connecting families, specialists, and community partners through an open and accessible public dialogue.
