The seminar explores psychological, economic and cultural changes that may influence young people’s perspectives on marriage. It examines key factors impacting the decision to marry, including changing priorities, rising expectations, fear of failure and the effect of digital and social media. It also highlights the religious, educational and psychological dimensions of preparing for married life, as well as the roles of families and community institutions.
This seminar falls under Season 5 of “The Contemporary Family” cultural series, held in collaboration with the College of Islamic Studies, Minaretein Center at Hamad Bin Khalifa University and the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) at Qatar Foundation.
The seminar will be held in Arabic, with simultaneous English interpretation available.
