HBKU Innovation Center Announces Winners of Entrepreneurship Program Fund

Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Innovation Center has announced the first five winners of its Entrepreneurship Program Fund (EPF). Each awardee will receive kickstarter funding of QR 100,000 to advance their entrepreneurship projects.

Recent research on the health impact of highly processed foods and drinks and the risk of obesity and diabetes

There are benefits to considering a change to a healthier and balanced diet – particularly when overweight. Recent research has suggested that there may be health advantages to eating less processed food. But what is processed food, and why is there concern over this type of food? All foods can be classified according to their degree of processing. Unprocessed or minimally processed foods receive either no treatment or are treated by, for example, boiling, drying, roasting, or fermenting to either make them safe to consume, palatable or for longer-term storage.

FIFA World Cup Fans Learn More about Future Impact of AI on Jobs and Employment

The world’s biggest sporting event, the FIFA World Cup 2022, created huge interest as Qatar reveled in becoming the first Arab nation to host the spectacle, which is held every four years.

With 32 participating national teams, Qatar hosted more than 1.2 million international visitors for more than a month. Fans who attended the matches at the eight world class stadia had the unique opportunity to experience the nearby Last-mile Cultural Activation, which featured thousands of arts, fashion, and design events, alongside blockbuster musical performances and film screenings.

An herbal tea called maté is growing in popularity thanks in part to football superstars like Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, Neymar, and Harry Kane. The sight of the footballers arriving for matches sipping from their iconic maté gourds continues to prompt interest in the tea’s health benefits – especially its stimulating and antioxidant effects.
