The Environment Centre aims to advance and inform national understanding of the interaction between the natural and built environments and provide sustainable solutions to enhance resilience and wellbeing in Qatar and arid regions.
Through a combination of basic and applied research, the centre creates region-specific knowledge to characterise atmospheric interactions between the natural and built environments in a changing climate, quantify the impacts of the natural environment and anthropogenic emissions on human health and the built environment, provide research-based evidence to support national mitigation and adaptation policies and measures and develop sustainable human-centered solutions to enable a healthy and resilient environment for all.
