السيرة الذاتية

Dr. Marwa K. Qaraqe joined HBKU as an Assistant Professor. She received her Ph.D. and Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, USA. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University.

Dr. Qaraqe's work in machine learning and signal processing includes predictive analytics for health, as well as security related problems, such as the development of robust predictive models for the early detection of diabetes, epileptic seizures, and stress, and measuring attention in children with autism spectrum disorder via eye-tracking. In the area of machine learning and security, Dr. Qaraqe works on the development of AI-based models for the detection of malicious or compromised users within a network.

Dr. Qaraqe also serves as a reviewer to several IEEE and technical international journals and conferences, including the IEEE Wireless Communication and Networking Conference (WCNC), and the IEEE Wireless Communication magazine, and sits on the IEEE Wireless Technical Committee on Wireless Communications.
