Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI) is committed to supporting the next generation of scientists to become highly skilled researchers through mentoring, advanced scientific and research training opportunities, and career guidance.

QBRI is dedicated to capacity building through initiatives that nurture the next generation of scientists and professionals in biomedical research. These initiatives provide opportunities for individuals at various stages of their academic and professional journeys, from high school students exploring research to undergraduates seeking immersive lab experiences and graduate students advancing their fields. By encouraging practical learning, skill development, and innovation, QBRI equips participants to embark on impactful careers in science and make significant contributions.

This mission is driven by QBRI’s three research centers, which emphasize education, mentorship, training, and professional growth. QBRI’s highly qualified researchers mentor students enrolled at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), contributing to master’s and PhD programs through teaching and supervision. Additionally, QBRI offers internships through programs such as the summer research program and provides work experience placements for graduates. Additionally, their efforts include supporting school science competitions as judges, delivering workshops, and offering specialized training for professionals. Together, QBRI inspires a passion for science and establishes a strong foundation for the next generation of biomedical leaders.
