Overview
The Muhammad Bin Hamad Al Thani Center for Muslim Contribution to Civilization (CMCC) was established in 1983 in Doha, Qatar, with the aim of contributing to initiatives to promote tolerance, coexistence, and constructive dialogue among nations and cultures.
Vision
CMCC aspires to become a global platform for studies, research, and activities related to the Muslim contribution to human civilization and to promote Qatar's global participation in this field.
Mission
Contributing to the dialogue of civilizations and peaceful coexistence among nations and cultures through the dissemination of knowledge and by raising awareness about the contributions of Islamic civilization.
Objectives
The main objective of the Center is to familiarize the world with the intellectual achievements of Muslims and their tremendous contributions to the development of human civilization by having some of the most significant works of Islamic civilization in various academic fields translated into world languages and published under the series "The Great Books of Islamic Civilization".
Creating awareness among all people regarding the contribution of Muslims to human civilization and the Islamic intellectual heritage.
Participating in the promotion of academic research in the field of Islamic civilization.
Enabling researchers in the field of Islamic civilization to use the Center as a platform for communication, dialogue, and collaboration.
Highlighting the role of the State of Qatar in the revival of the intellectual, cultural, and literary heritage of Islam.
