تعاون بين معهد قطر لبحوث الطب الحيوي ومركز الحسين للسرطان في الأردن لتقديم رعاية فعالة للمرضى
يتعاون معهد قطر لبحوث الطب الحيوي، التابع لجامعة حمد بن خليفة، مع مركز الحسين للسرطان في الأردن للمساعدة في تسريع نتائج أبحاث السرطان في المنطقة. وقد جرى التأكيد على هذا التعاون من خلال توقيع اتفاقية بحثية مهمة بين المؤسستين خلال الشهر الحالي.
حضر الاجتماع الدكتور عمر الأجنف، المدير التنفيذي بالإنابة لمعهد قطر لبحوث الطب الحيوي، والدكتور عاصم منصور، مدير عام مركز الحسين للسرطان، والدكتور ريتشارد أوكيندي، نائب رئيس البحوث والتطوير والابتكار في مؤسسة قطر ونائب الرئيس للبحوث في جامعة حمد بن خليفة.

HBKU’s QBRI Signs Landmark Research Agreement to Accelerate Developments in Cancer Diagnostics and Treatment
Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), and the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) in Jordan will work together to help accelerate cancer research in the region. This collaboration was underscored through the signing of an important research agreement between the two entities this month.

وقعت جامعة حمد بن خليفة، التابعة لمؤسسة قطر والمتخصصة في التعليم العالي، اتفاقية مع موقع إيديكس (edX)، وهو موقع تعليمي غير ربحي على شبكة الإنترنت، أسسته جامعة هارفارد ومعهد ماساتشوستس للتكنولوجيا. وبموجب هذه الاتفاقية، ستصبح جامعة حمد بن خليفة أول جامعة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط تقدم برامج إلكترونية متخصصة من خلال المنصة، وتتيحها لملايين الطلاب حول العالم.

HBKU Becomes First University in the Middle East Region to Partner with edX.org and Offer Online Courses
Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a Qatar Foundation institution that specializes in higher education, and edX, the nonprofit online learning platform founded by Harvard and MIT, have signed an agreement that will position the University as the first in the Middle East to provide interdisciplinary courses through the online platform. The courses will be accessible to millions of students around the world.

Visit of CLPP faculty to Istanbul Law School
Dr. Zachary Calo and Dr. Barry Solaiman from the HBKU College of Law and Public Policy (CLPP) were recently invited to Istanbul Law School to discuss issues relating to commercial mediation in the Middle East. The field is one that is ripe for exploration and development as judicial resolution of disputes may be timely and costly. Also, mediation is considered a friendlier way for parties to resolve their differences. The CLPP professors made presentations to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
