The roundtable event provides a high-level opportunity for environmental law and policy educators and scholars in the MENA region to exchange knowledge, experience and learn from each other on how to strengthen environmental law education and practice in the region. It will explore the current landscape and the opportunities for promoting national awareness and education on key environmental issues – such as biodiversity loss, climate change, and safe management of hazardous chemicals and wastes.
The event will bring together a diverse range of stakeholders from government institutions, research institutes, scientific and environmental clubs, as well as private and public sector actors.
The aim of the event is to:
Share knowledge and best practices from different initiatives related to environmental law education across the MENA region.
Identify gaps and challenges in order to develop programs that are responsive to local needs.
Initiate dialogue among stakeholders on innovative pedagogical approaches and mechanisms to ensure the effective delivery of environmental law outcomes.
