International Legal and Policy Implications of the Russia-Ukraine Conflict

The ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict calls into question important issues, such as the international law and the use of force, the role of international criminal law, the future of foreign investment and trade, including the effect of sanctions, and the security of energy supplies. Overriding these are general legal and practical issues that undermine the future of multilateralism. 

In this roundtable, experts from HBKU’s College of Law and College of Public Policy examine these issues in the context of events that could forever reshape global governance and the international legal order of the post-World War II era.
