Prof. Dr. Aisha Yusuf Omar al-Mannai is Director of Muhammad bin Hamad Al-Thani Center for Muslim Contribution to Civilization at the College of Islamic Studies (CIS), Hamad bin Khalifa University. She is also a member of the Arab Parliament, al-shura Council (Qatar) and League of Arab States. She heads and is a member of several national and international organizations and associations. The author of several articles and books on theology, tasawwuf and religions, Prof. Aisha is the recipient of several awards which include the Medal of Honour for Arts and Sciences of the first level from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Community Service Award from the United Arab Emirates, the first GCC Excellence Award which she received from His Highness Shaykh Tameem bin Hamad Al-Thani and lately the Henry Davison Award from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies – Switzerland.
