Regulation of Human Aging Genes and their Association with Frailty and Clinical Phenotypes

25Sep2019

This seminar will discuss the regulation of human aging genes and understanding the aging process to enable the discovery of omics-based biomarkers for risk, diagnosis and prognosis of frailty in old adults.

Aging is increasingly becoming a common problem and is associated with frailty that results in a number of disabilities and diseases. In this seminar, Dr. Imad Abugessaisa of the Riken Center, will explore the genetic regulation of aging through the transcriptional profiling a cohort of old adults. This analysis provided insights into genetic regulation relevant to an aged population.
